  13. Funnist is a series of screen savers where you laugh. 
  14. This park, Money, will show you how funny your money's
  15. story is. Don't forget to setup your own
  16. background sound in its setup screen - a FREE sound package, soundbk.zip, is available
  17. in Mark's home page: http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/mark_qian
  18. You can also get it from WINAV, WUGNET, and WINGAM in Compuserver.
  19. It also inlcudes some COOL utility 
  20. functions such as MessagePad (which allows your visitors leave
  21. you Text, Voice, Picture, and even Movie), Task Scheduler
  22. (which allows you launch executable files at the time you specify),
  23. and a cuckoo clock which sing at each hour.

  43. A COOL shareware, Savervisor is included. Savervisor is a Screen
  44. Saver and Wall Paper Manager. It provides a lot of VERY COOL 
  45. functions:

  47.   - It appears as an icon that allows you launch a screen saver
  48.     instantly by a single click of RIGHT mouse button.
  49.  
  50.  - It can be run in a INVISIBLE mode. With this great feature,
  51.     you can just put it into Windows Startup group in Program 
  52.     Manager and forget it: It will take care all the management 
  53.     tasks while you never realize it is working for you!

  55.   - It allows you specify the sensitive areas where you can click
  56.     the RIGHT mouse button to launch a saver instantly.

  58.   - It provide saver (and wallpaper) scheduling capability.  That is, 
  59.     it allows you specify what saver(wallpaper) to be activate at a 
  60.     specified hour through a week.  It also allows you switch savers 
  61.     (wallpaper)through all the savers(BMP files) in your Windows 
  62.     directory and specify switchng period.

  68. different registration.  That is, you have to register each of
  69. them separately. Registration of any of them will NOT cover the

  77. A). What will be installed by setup.exe?

  79.  The SETUP.EXE will copy five files into your windows directory:

  81.  fu_my.src  -- The main executable file of the saver;
  82.  fu_my.txt  -- Documentation file;
  83.  fu_my_0.wav - fu_my_2.wav -- WAV files for sound effects;

  86.  If Savervisor is included, the setup.exe will also

  89.    saver.exe  -- Executable file for Savervisor;
  90.    saver.txt  -- Documentation file for Savervisor;
  91.  in to the directory that you specify and copy

  100. B). Environment requirement: 
  101.  - Super VGA
  102.  - At least 256 colors for display;
  103.  - VBRUN300.DLL;
  104.  - A sound card is recommended;

  107. C). How to install?
  108.  
  109.  "Step By Step" instructions for installation:
  110.  
  111.     1). VBRUN300.DLL(if you don't have one in your system);
  112.       
  113.       You can download VBRUN300.dll from following place:
  114.  
  115.         In compuserve, GO WINAV and search its library for
  116.         file named vbrun3.zip
  117.  
  118.         In WWW, http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/mark_qian

  120.         In Internet, ftp://ftp.coast.net/SimTel/win3/dll
  121.  
  122.         In America Online, Go to software library and search for
  123.         file named vbrun300.exe.

  125.         After downloading and unziping it, you need to move it
  126.         into Windows system directry, c:\windows\system.

  128.   2). Copy fu_my.zip into a temporary directory, say c:\tmp;
  129.   3). Unzip fu_my.zip within c:\tmp using pkunzip.exe;
  130.   4). Run c:\tmp\setup.exe from File Manager(double click at the
  131. icon of
  132.       c:\tmp\setup.exe);
  133.   5). If this package includes a utility, Savervisor, you will be
  134. asked to
  135.       key in the directory where Savervisor will be installed.
  136. You need to
  137.       either key in you own directory or use the default one. If
  138. the 
  139.       package does not include Savervisor, you will not see the
  140. dialog.
  141.   6). The setup program will then ask you choose from one of
  142. following
  143.          a). Run the saver now;
  144.          b). Setup the saver now;
  145.          c). Exit to Windows now;
  146.        You need to choose one of them.
  147.     Note: if you choose (click at) the first choice, "Run the
  148. saver now",
  149.           please don't move or click your mouse after click at
  150. the choice.
  151.           Otherwise, you will disable the saver right after you
  152. enable it.

  154.   If you like setup or test the saver that you have installed,
  155. please open
  156.   the Desktop of Windows Control Panel, select the saver from
  157. Screen Saver
  158.   section, and test or setup the saver.

  160. D). TroubleShooting:
  161.  
  162.     Q:  I have downloaded your screen saver recently 
  163.         and I was having a problem with getting it to work
  164. properly.  
  165.         After initializing I get a message "... caused a general 
  166.         protection fault in module VGA.DRV at 0001:0ca2". 
  167.   
  168.     A:  Changed your screen driver in winsetup to SVGA.

  171. E). How to get more information?

  174. This program is a shareware.  You are welcome to distribute this package
  175. (fu_my.zip) by any means: copy it to your friends, upload it to your
  176. favorite BBSs or On-line systems.  
  177. However, it is NOT a freeware. You will be able to use(evaluate) it up to 30 
  178. times or 30 days. You then have to register(pay fee to its author) if you still 
  179. want to use it after that.
